Swiss Crypto Valley: Aftermovie

Swiss Crypto Valley brought organisations, founders and attendees from across the crypto space together in Zug for two days, somewhere between five hundred and a thousand people, and I was brought in to make the aftermovie. I shot the whole event solo: the speakers on stage, the booths and the conversations around them, drone footage of the venue on the first evening, and the part of the trip everyone remembers, the dinner cruise on Lake Zug.

An aftermovie has to work for two audiences at once. The people who were in the room want something that brings the event back, and the people who weren’t need a reason to be there next time. I cut it with both in mind, wide enough to show the scale of the event and close enough to catch the energy of the crowd, with the cruise as the natural finale. The finished film ran on LinkedIn and has been used as a marketing asset for the events that followed.
