unDavos Aftermovie

unDavos runs alongside the World Economic Forum in Davos every year, a week of events that sits just outside the official Forum. In 2024 I was commissioned to cover the whole week on video, and this aftermovie is the film that brings it together: the speakers, the rooms, the conversations in between, and the snow and mountains that make Davos in January feel like nowhere else. It also includes an interview with unDavos founder Mark Turrell, who talks about how unDavos came to be and what he hopes it will achieve.

An aftermovie for a week this dense is an exercise in selection. The people who were there want to see the moments they remember, and the people who weren’t need to understand in a couple of minutes what unDavos is and why they should come. I cut it for both: a record for the people who came, and a reason for the people who didn’t. The film was used again in the years that followed, including to promote unDavos at the Belvedere, an exclusive hotel during WEF week.
